 FAQs

  • Alla Boara and Work and Song Productions founder, Anthony Taddeo is the son of an Italian immigrant. He had always taken great pride in his heritage and then one day discovered the incredible field recordings of Alan Lomax in Italy from 1954. After hearing these recordings he knew he needed to do something to bring recognition to this amazing folk music. After performing with Alla Boara for almost 5 years he was blown away by the affect this music had on audiences and started the non-profit in order to continue to more purposely utilize this music to foster community and relationships.

  • Anyone! It’s not just for Italians. Folk music of any culture has an innate human quality that draws us together. One of the goals of W&S is to encourage others to look into their personal, musical heritage as a means to discovery and creativity.
